TAJ MAHAL TREASURE COIN CLUSTER — PAWN STARS

by admin on February 9, 2010

Rick Harrison is amazed to see a fragment of the famous “Taj Mahal Treasure” come into his pawn shop on this episode of “Pawn Stars”. A few hundred individual specimens from this shipment of coins lost in 1702 are in the hands of collectors, but there are only three of these fused clusters of coins salvaged from the wreck known to exist. Since one of them was lost when the Tsunami of December 24, 2004 hit Sri Lanka, the two remaining clusters have increased in value significantly.

@cesariojpn — I’d like to know what the reserve price was, and the highest bid. I’m guessing the reserve was $700K. He’ll get it eventually if he holds onto it long enough. But it ’s only worth what somebody will pay for it.

The fucker was asking too much. Perhaps the auction result was an indication?
