The Taj Mahal (also “the Taj”) is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Ottoman, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was cited as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.” While the white domed marble mausoleum is its most familiar component, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. Building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen. The Persian architect, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer of the Taj Mahal

India is a secular country and it will remain that way. Moreover most Hindus(like me) are happy that way. Hindu/Sikh/Jain/Buddhist scriptures also do not advocate a theocratic type of government…….so there can be “authentic religious movement” for a Hindu country……

As long as Hindus are allowed to practice & preach ….it is a “Hindu country”…….That is the reason even Nepal (92% Hindu) has declared itself to be secular recently……….

How is India be a hindu country when you have Taj Mahal and mughal forts first established by the muslims. Until muslims and their establishments are removed there would war but no peace.

TAJ-MAHAL is housed with graves,so whosoever views, visits, talks, write or hears about it; out of reverence / obligation to devotedly offer /pray to ALLAH, for all souls to be in peace & ask blessings & Emaan for mankind; else one have no right over it in any form, to comment, enter its precincts, pollute, impure its air & around. Of course, first & foremost one must purify with niyyah too, so that one evades the curse in turn due; failing to abide by these basic norms.

I had to to a presentation about a world heritage site for school , and i chose the Taj Mahal. Its beautiful but sadly, the marble is deteriorating and we need to act about this global warming incident. On the other hand, i really enjoyed re searching about it.
