Taj Mahal – ISLAMIC (MUGHAL) Architecture and Arts

The Mughal Empire originated in Pakistan and Afghanistan! The Taj Mahal was built during the rule of the Muslim king Shah Jahan He built it in honour of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal! The Taj Mahal is truly a great monument of Islamic Architecture. The CHIEF Architect was named Ustad Ahmad Lahori. He is given the name Lahori, because he was FROM Lahore, which is in Pakistan!

most ppl agree..this building is so awsome…its the only place in the world i wanna visit just to see a buildin…amazing!!!

Taj is probably when Mughal rule perfected fine craftsmenship. its mounting, elevation, geometry & symmetry is perfection personified. Taj may not be original & has its origins in Humayun’s tomb & Itimad-ud-daulah in Delhi & Agra respectively but in terms of achieving perfection, this is it.
