Here’s for both of you. I was born in India, but I was mostly raised in America. I have learned both Carnatic and Western music,

Music is Divine whether it is Wtn or Ind. If you know how to compare music/sangeetham, you should know that both music teach the same things in different ways without knowing it. There is only ONE exeption to both music, and it is Wtn musicians know how to write music, which took centuries of studying and developing. MUSIC IS MUSIC! Yanni is a MAGNIFICENT Musician as well as A R Rahman.

in the same way as u think , a major population of the Westerners and me still think that
“Indian music===sound pollution”
even me being an Indian only appreciate Indian stuff only if it is from A R Rahman, which is understandably pleasant music…
personally speaking , the rest of the indian musicians sucks (only with a few exceptions)…
No hard feelings

Indian music is way better then this noise. i know the Indian classical with all the raagaas and it would have sounded better near taj.
