Off 1974 classic LP, ” Mo’ Roots.” got moderate fm radio play, musically diverse and brilliant, but that IS Taj Mahal!

@vdez1969 – I first heard it on WMMR-FM in early 1975….back when the DJs had freedom to play what they wanted….and weren’t obliged to play the same sh*t over and over again.

you are truly a God child for posting this. I was in a high school frat called the Omicron’s when this came out. We use to challenge dance in front of the girls to this song…it was the beginnings of some of the basic moves that became break dancing. I finally found a very elusive song. Thanks

“Speaking of people,I don’t like your friends”
One of the best lines in a song I ever heard. My former wife couldn’t stand this song. Thank goodness she’s been recycled, and I still have the album.
Great Post.
